National Park Service officials recover bodies of missing Lake Mead boaters

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – National Park Service officials, with the assistance of a Las Vegas Metropolitan Search and Rescue team, recovered the bodies of two men today who have been missing since Monday. The men were boating with friends at Lake Mead when they went for a swim and did not return. They were located in the Callville Bay area.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area officials share their deepest condolences with the family on their loss.

Park officials also thank the Las Vegas Metropolitan Search and Recovery team for lending critical assistance in the recovery.

Names and additional information will be available through the Clark Counter Coroner’s office when appropriate.
