NPS Chesapeake Gateways supports the Chesapeake Gateways visitor experience network, provides technical and financial support to the Chesapeake Gateways assistance network, is a key partner in the Federal/multi-state Chesapeake Bay Program, co-convenes the Chesapeake Conservation Partnership, and seeks to coordinate with the 58 national parks, 7 national heritage areas, and 5 national trails across the Chesapeake watershed.
NPS Chesapeake Gateways aims to connect with and serve a wide range of community members and visitors. Our strategic plan focuses on utilizing the variety of people, places, and stories in our region by collaborating with a network of partners to promote conservation, improve access to nature, provide environmental education, enhance outdoor recreation, and support sustainable economies.
