Description

This brief introduction describes the technique of bridge grafting, which is used to repair cavities in old fruit trees. Bridge grafting is one way that the National Park Service preserves fruit trees in historic orchards. Here, Orchardist Laurie Thompson demonstrates at the Buckner Homestead in North Cascades National Park of Washington.
