Bennett Clip 1
Transcript
Proctor: What do you mean by environmental objectives? Bennett: Great treasures of nature. Like the Yosemite, the wilderness areas of the west, or the cypress in Florida, those environmental treasures should be preserved. Also included in my interests were historical areas, which are often adjacent to environmental [areas]. Like here in Jacksonville we are trying to reap the benefits of the Timucuan Preserve, which has historical sites in it, like a sixteenth century mission; the Kinglsey plantation, a 1790s plantation house with buildings; Fort Caroline, which is a replica of a 1564 fort, and so on. They are next to marshes, islands, and things like that.
