In honor of Women's History Month, we took a closer look at Mary McLeod Bethune's role as a preservationist and spoke with Mr. Brandon Nightingale, Archival Coordinator at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, and shared the steps Mrs. Bethune took to preserve not only her beloved institution Bethune-Cookman, but also her legacy, through the establishment of the Mary McLeod Bethune Foundation, which is now a national historic landmark.
