Klondike Kitchen - Sourdough Flapjacks

Klondike Gold Rush - Seattle Unit National Historical Park

Description

Sourdough is the food most associated with gold rush stampeders. The park’s Northwest Youth Corps intern Jade makes sourdough starter and tries it out in flapjacks. This is part of a video series demonstrating some of the food gold seekers would have cooked and eaten on the way to the Klondike gold fields.
