Overcoat
Made in Asheville, NC

This was Mrs. Lilian "Paula" Steichen Sandburg's overcoat. She spent much of her time outdoors at Connemara Farm, tending to the goats, chickens and gardens. After the Sandburgs moved to Flat Rock, North Carolina, in 1945, Mrs. Sandburg and her daughters developed their once-small goat herd into a large one with a national reputation as good milk producers and for show qualities.
