ca. 1930

The interior of the Keys’ home at Desert Queen Ranch reveals several layers of colorful flooring and wall coverings. A pale blue paint appears to be the first layer, followed by three layers of wallpaper dating from the late teens to early 1920s. This sample was taken from the living room ceiling. Analysis of wallpaper samples and other building components increases understanding of a historic structure, allows for accurate reproduction of materials, and documents these elements for future generations.
