About Us
Friends of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, in partnership with the National Park Service, strives to enhance, support, and promote New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, Bluestone National Scenic River, and Gauley River National Recreational Area.

What We Do

Friends of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve strives to preserve, restore, enhance the natural beauty, features, ecological systems, cultural and historical heritage of New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, Bluestone National Scenic River, and Gauley River National Recreation Area
  • enhance educational, interpretive, and research opportunities
  • increase public awareness, enjoyment, and appreciation of the National Park Service
  • support the National Park Service in the furtherance of these goals and purposes
  • provide support and assistance to the National Park Service in constructing and improving park facilities and Camp Brookside.
