The Northeast Archeological Resources Program assists National Park Service Interior - Region 1 parks, in protecting, preserving, and understanding the region’s irreplaceable resources for present and future generations. Parks in Region 1 contain a great variety of archeological resources, from the homes of presidents and poets to battlefields and shipwrecks, and from ancient Native American villages to the earliest colonial settlements in this area of North America.
