Prior to this meeting Director Wirth received a letter from the Director of the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department reminding him of their prior acquaintance in the American Institute of Park Executives, and stating that the sale of the courthouse site "will vitally hinder the orderly development of the area by the national government and the City of Greensboro."
