CORNUS FEROX ? Unger.
CORNUS FEROX Unger. Lesquereux, Proc. U. S. Nat.
Mus., Vol. XI, p. 21, 1888.
A single much-broken example is all that was found.
Its identification is extremely doubtful, and is permitted to stand
simply for the purpose of calling attention to the fact that there is
present in these beds a large leaf that, while resembling Cornus
ferox, is of practically unknown affinity. For purposes of
correlation it is obviously of no value.

Oregon. Collected by Maj. Charles E. Bendire (U. S. Nat. Mus., No.
