Stretchberry (Forestiera pubescens var. pubescens)
NPS/Hallie Larsen
Stretchberry (Forestiera pubescens var pubescens) is a large deciduous shrub with smooth gray branches and a disheveled appearance. The leaves are bright green in spring, turning a canary yellow in fall. The fluffy masses of flowers turn into sour berries that birds just love.
