Fort Washington’s group picnic areas require a reservation April 1 through October 31. They can be reserved using Recreation.gov.

Area A has parking lot with about 50 spaces. It is a larger area, for up to 200 people. 

25-28 picnic tables, several small pedestal grills and one large pedestal grill with three separate grills. The tables are placed in a stand of trees that provide shade.

A Restroom is in the area. The area has a large open field behind the tables.
