The parking area near the shuttle stop and next to the Visitor Center in the Blackburn School has interpretive wayside exhibits at outdoor covered kiosks. Here you will find a marvelous open vista which includes the debris strewn Kennicott Glacier, Fireweed Mountain on the other side of the glacier, and the Chugach Mountain Range to the south.
