The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, operated by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, displays an array of aquatic life, and explores the cultual history of coastal Carolina. The facility also has outdoor exhibits and play areas for children. There is an admission fee.
