Located between the Giant Forest Museum and Lodgepole Visitor Center, the Pinewood Picnic Area offers regular and long picnic tables for groups of all sizes. The picnic areas also has restrooms, a water faucet, and barbecue grills.

Accessibility

An accessible picnic area is available with designated parking and an extended picnic table on a level, paved surface with a path to an accessible restroom. A standard, barbeque grill has limited ground clearance, and may be difficult to navigate for picnickers with mobility devices. Some other picnic areas have extended tables, and may be reached by paved ramp or dirt trail.
