San Francisco is a bustling metropolis, but you'd be surprised how many opportunities there are to get away from the clamor if you just know where to go. The city is full of peaceful oases like Rob Hill Campground. Atop the Presidio's highest point above Baker Beach and under cover of a forest canopy, Rob Hill can make you forget that you're still in the city.

Rob Hill is home to Camping at the Presidio (CAP), providing meaningful outdoor experiences to kids who don't have many opportunities to camp or visit national parks. It's also a training program for youth leaders, designed to get them comfortable leading their own camping trips.
