Sawtooth Trail is a 10.2 mile (16.4 kilometer) loop trail at a steep incline. Beyond Monarch Lakes, the trail is rough and unmaintained. The first campsite is at Lower Monarch Lake at 4.2 miles (6.7 kilometer).
