Learn more about Civil Rights activism in the Harpers Ferry area with the Storer College and Niagara Movement Exhibit! Storer College was established to educate newly freed slaves and give them skills to join the work force. The Niagara Movement was started by prominent Civil Rights activist W.E.B. DuBois with the mission of establishing racial equality. Visit these exhibits to become more informed on the important role Harpers Ferry had in the Civil Rights Movement during the post-Civil War years.
