The Baltimore Museum of Industry, located in Downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor, explores the industrial and technological history of Baltimore and Maryland through education programs and exhibitions. Situated in a historic 1860s oyster cannery, the museum’s many collections remind visitors of Baltimore’s long history and how the city developed from a small trading port to a thriving industrial hub and one of the country’s major North Atlantic ports.

Education programs, guided tours, historic galleries, and other exhibits tell the stories of the workers, business-owners and inventions that propelled Baltimore into the Industrial Revolution and how the city stands as a major industrial center.
