The Visitor Information Station (VIS) acts as a hub for all visitors wishing to travel into the park. Boating registration and orientation occurs here, as well as campsite registration. The VIS marks the beginning of the trail to the Huna Tribal House where the sea otter hunting canoe, Snow the Whale, and the Healing Totem can be seen along the way.

The VIS is the place to go before starting your boating or camping trip in Glacier Bay. Camper and boater orientations are required for visitors wishing to camp or boat in the park.
