The Gulf Coast Canoe/Kayak Launch and Visitor Center are currently closed due to construction. Gulf Coast rangers can be found in the Everglades Adventures Visitor Center located at 611 Collier Ave, Everglades City, FL 34139 on Fridays – Mondays from 9:00am – 12:00pm . For more information about ranger-guided programs, alternate kayak launch sites, and other questions, call 786-758-0635.
A wilderness permit is required for all overnight stays in Everglades National Park. Wilderness permits are available through recreation.gov. A park entrance pass is required if entering the waters of Everglades National Park. Passes are sold at the Shark Valley and Homestead park entrance stations and online through recreation.gov.
