Monument Description

This monument, donated by the Valley Forge Park Commission under the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1908, marks the location of the encampment of Scott's Brigade. Among other engagements in which General Scott took part, he served with disctiction at the Battle of Monmouth following the British evacuation of Philadelphia in June, 1778.
