Southwind Nature Trail is open 24 hours daily. It starts from three locations north of the Spring Hill Ranch. Visitors can loop around and see the Lower Fox Creek School from a distance. Two overlooks highlight the 1.9 miles (3.1 km) dog friendly grass trail through prairie and light wooded areas. Summer blossom and butterfly spotting is popular on this short stroll with mild elevation change. For visitors wanting a small, easily traveled prairie experience, this is the most popular trail.
