Scenic View/Photo Spot

Twin Ponds is a wetland area located just off the American Thread Road in the Seboeis Parcel of the monument. The inflow of the pond comes from Ragged Brook, which also connects to the Seboeis River. If you enjoy stargazing, Twin Ponds is an enchanting location to view the night sky on a clear night. 

Take a short hike through the forest, crossing three log platforms to arrive at the viewpoint. There may be a chance to observe waterfowl and other wildlife around Twin Ponds.

Restrooms: There are no restrooms available in this section of the monument.

Parking: Parking is available at the trailhead located on the American Thread Road.

Trail Etiquette: Leashed pets are allowed on this trail. Carry out all trash and food waste (fruit peels, shells, etc.). Do not feed the wildlife.
