Sope Creek Unit 3760 Paper Mill Road Marietta, GA 30067 Parking Info The parking lot is directly off of Paper Mill Road and is surrounded by hardwood forest. Alternative Transportation Take MARTA red line to Arts Center Station. Transfer to CobbLink Route 10 and exit at the Marietta Transfer Station. Transfer to CobbLinc Route 15 and exit at Paper Mill Road. From the bus station, walk a short distance to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area.

Join the National Park Service staff during the 2025 Atlanta Science Festival for a tiny monster hunt! Discover the extraordinary bio-diversity of strange, weird, and amazing creatures that live in Sibley Pond. Search through leaf litter, dig through detritus, collect critters and more! This is a hands on, get your fingers dirty field investigation. What tiny monsters will you find lurking in Sibley Pond?

 

This event is part of the 2025 Atlanta Science Festival, March 8 - 22. The Atlanta Science Festival is an annual celebration of the world-class learning and STEM career opportunities in metro Atlanta, featuring 100+ engaging events for curious kids and adults at venues all across the region.
