Description

Join an Agate ranger for a full moon hike. Experience the prairie after hours. Learn about aspects of the moon and some of the nocturnal animals in the park. The hike will last about an hour. Dress appropriately for cooling temperatures as the evening darkens. Bring a red flashlight or a regular one and a ranger will assist in converting it to a red flashlight.

Following the hike, listen to some stories of the summer constellations. Bring a chair or blanket to relax and gaze at the stars while a ranger points out constellations and tells their stories or legends.

ASL interpretation available with 2 week notice.
