During the years preceding the American Civil War, Boston served as one of the most important stops on the Underground Railroad. Did you know that many of the fugitives escaping from enslavement came to Boston by stowing away on ships from southern ports? Join a National Park Ranger for a 60 minute guided walking tour on Georges Island, and explore the untold stories of men and women making daring escapes to freedom through Boston Harbor.

About the performances:

Aric B. Aric B. Flemming Jr., also known as Aric B. is a singer/songwriter, vocal arranger, and producer. He is an R&B and Gospel recording artist from Decatur, Georgia. The grandson of a musical Pastor, Aric has been singing since the age of 5. Throughout his musical journey, he has recorded, written, trained, and collaborated with Grammy-winning Producers whose credits range from Beyonce, H.E.R, Alicia Keys, and Chris Brown, to Janelle Monae, Eric Bellinger, Ledisi, Brandy, Jay-Z, and Teyana Taylor.
