About the Concert

A free concert is a great way to enjoy the summer! Join us for a musical performance on the park grounds at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site. Pack a blanket or lawn chair and join us for this special concert. 

This event is free and walk-ins are welcome. Parking reservations are required for those driving to this concert. Call 314-842-1867 to reserve your free parking spot.

About the Performer

 

The Missouri Big Band is a swinging, screaming and roaring 17-piece St. Louis Big Band that celebrates the best Swing and Jazz big band music of all time. Founded in the fall of 2013, The MOBB features well-known music from such iconic big bands as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, and original compositions by band members.

 Led by lifetime music educator and musician Joe Pappas, this St. Louis area big band plays a variety of Jazz, Swing and Jazz-Standard music that appeals to all ages. From the classic “In the Mood” to contemporary Jazz Greats.
