Join us for this program in celebration of Women's History Month. This prerecorded book talk with Ranger John Fowler and author, Dr. Audrey Thomas McClusky discusses her book, “A Forgotten Sisterhood: Pioneering Black Women Educators and Activists in the Jim Crow South.” Dr. McCluskey examines how Mrs. Bethune and others pioneering female educators fought discrimination as members of a larger movement of black women who worked to uplift future generations through a focus on education, social service, and cultural transformation.
