2-mile easy walk with a small strenuous section.
Hike to a historic Baptist church near Thurmond. Once a heart of spiritual support, hear how houses of worship like this one helped African Americans and other community members find strength during the challenging times of the industrial boom in the New River Gorge. Wear good hiking shoes.
Meet at Rend Trailhead, one mile from Thurmond
