Fort Bowie National Historic Site is hosting its 3rd annual Junior Ranger Day event!

This fun-filled day is geared towards families and kids of all ages.  Come explore the park as you learn more about the site's wildlife, plants, and history.  Hands on activities and ranger led programs will be offered throughout the day at the visitor center.  Dig in the dirt and learn about archaeology, get creative with arts and crafts, and test your knowledge as you identify animal scat and tracks.  Complete a scavenger hunt to earn a special certificate.  And even learn how to fire a cannon!

Ranger led programs will be offered each hour at the visitor center.

11:30- Join a ranger for a mock cannon firing drill- it will be a "blast"!

12:30- Join a ranger for a family friendly nature hike

1:30- Fort Bowie's first "Ranger in Charge" will recount his experiences managing Fort Bowie 

2:30- For twice the fun, join a ranger for another mock cannon firing drill
