Description

This free canoe trip lasts approximately 4 hours from 10-2pm and requires no previous canoe experience. We’ll start in Little Beaver Lake, then we’ll make our way on to Beaver Lake where we’ll leave the canoes and hike half a mile out to Lake Superior for lunch at the beach. Paddling can be strenuous. Kids are welcome, but these trips may be too long or rough for kids under 6.

Expect to hike about a mile and paddle 3.5 miles total. Life jackets, dry bags, and canoes are provided, but lunch, water, and bug spray are not.

To participate, you MUST be able to:

  • Swim, follow instructions, wear a properly fitted life jacket, help carry canoes to and from the launch site, paddle for extended periods of time, and be able to enter and exit the canoe independently, with the assistance of a companion, or with your own adaptive equipment.
  • If the canoe capsizes, you must also be able to swim out from beneath the canoe without assistance and remain face up in the water.

Trips may be cancelled in the event of severe weather. If you have a reservation, you will be contacted as soon as possible to notify you of the cancellation.
