On Saturday, September 19, we're giving you a sneak peek at the Mission San Jose tricentennial mural! In this live video, artist Sandra Gonzalez will be painting panels of the mural in her studio. Watch as the mural comes together, and learn more about Sandra's inspiration for the painting.
When the mural is completed, it will be mounted on the exterior of the Visitor Center at Mission San Jose, facing the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and Napier Avenue. The new mural commemorates 300 years since Mission San Jose was established. This tricentennial year is a time for reflection, as we consider the changes that the land and the people have endured over the last 300 years.
