The Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge (JBWR) Short Film Club is an effort to build a sense of community, to share a moment with visitors in the park, and to watch, then converse about a short film related to the environment. All the films in our meetings will showcase different struggles, efforts, and ways of life, connecting in some or multiple ways to the animals, nature, and environment around them.
Join us at the Multipurpose Room inside the Visitor Center, where the short film screening will be held followed by a brief guided discussion. Our meeting ends with a short walk to a specific spot found within Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, but there’s no hard feelings if you’re only staying for the film(s). The walk will be in correlation with the short film(s) previously seen.
