Description

Special program for kids 8-12 (but ALL ages are welcome!) to celebrate Junior Ranger Day!

Join a ranger to learn what it takes to be an archaeologist. Study soil and dig through a dig box to find replica artifacts. Discover what lies below the surface on Virginius Island and how certain objects tell the stories of the past. Explore why artifacts are safer left underground and how to be a steward to protect our history by not digging in National Parks.
