Jazz Concert

Catie Rodgers Duo

At the National Park Service French Quarter Visitor Center

419 Decatur St, New Orleans

Catie Rodgers (trumpet) is a graduate of The University of New Orleans. She leads the Traditional Jazz Band ,The Gentilly Stompers, as well as Catie Rodgers & Her Swing Orchestra, an 18 piece big band specializing in music for dancers. Memorable “side musician” work includes the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Latin Grammy Winning mariachi band Flor de Toloache, NYC’s salsa band Lulada Club, and playing with the daughters of Louis Prima and Judy Garland (Lena Prima and Lorna Luft, respectively). Important mentors and teachers include Connie Jones, Banu Gibson, Matt Perrine, and Doug Reneau.
