Explore the hauntingly beautiful, overgrown cultural and industrial landscape of the Cliff Mine. Experience the sites of the historic stamp mill and Avery Shaft. Learn about the lives of those memorialized at the Cliff Mine Protestant Cemetery while considering the site's past, present, and future.

This hike will take place on varied terrain, with some challenging locations including going over and under downed and bent trees and traversing loose rock. Please come prepared with water and other necessary supplies for a 2-hour outdoor excursion. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended.

Meet at the Cliff Mine Historic Marker on Cliff Drive southwest of its northern intersection with US-41, Keweenaw County, Michigan.
