Description

Come celebrate the anniversary of the passing of the 19th ammendment with a Votes for Women Game Day! We will start with a discussion by Votes for Women game designer Tory Brown as well as Susan Philpott from the Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument. Read below for more information about Susan and the Belmont-Paul Monument!

There will be a Learn to Play session following the discussion, but seating is very limited and registration is required. Everyone is welcome to attend the discussion and have their game signed by Tory, but anyone who wishes to play must register online.

Susan Philpott is a park ranger at Belmont-Paul Women's Equality National Monument, a National Park Service site. The 200-year-old house at the corner of Constitution Avenue and Second Street, NE, was the headquarters of the National Woman's Party for more than 90 years. It is now a museum where NPS shares stories of the fight for women's right to vote and the ongoing struggle for equality. The house has been closed for renovations but will reopen to visitors again soon. Ranger Susan will be available to talk about the ratification of the 19th Amendment, as well as the 100th anniversary of the Equal Rights Amendment!
