Description
Please join us at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial theater on Sunday, December 8th, at 10:30 AM for a special presentation about the USS Arizona (SSN-803) submarine, which is in the process of being built. This submarine will be the fourth US Navy vessel to carry the name Arizona, but the first since the loss of the USS Arizona (BB-39) during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The presentation will be given by the commanding officer of the future USS Arizona (SSN-803), CDR Tom E. Digan Jr., US Navy.
The sponsor for USS Arizona (SSN-803) is Nikki Stratton, the granddaughter of Donald Stratton, a Seaman First Class who survived the Pearl Harbor attack aboard the battleship USS Arizona (BB-39). Nikki will also be at the presentation.
The presentation is free and open to the public. Please keep in mind that there is a $7 parking fee at the visitor center, and there is a strict no-bag policy for items that offer concealment. Find out more here: https://www.nps.gov/perl/faq-s.htm.
