Bring your own picnic, chairs, and blankets to enjoy summer sunsets by the Chesapeake Bay along with the sweet sounds of some of the region's most talented performers. Free parking on-site.
The Peninsula Concert Band reports on their website that they have "been performing in the Tidewater area for more than sixty years. The band gave its first performance on July 3, 1950 at Darling Stadium in Hampton under the direction of Michael A. Quinto. CWO Michael A. Quinto, a retired US Army bandmaster, founded the band in June of 1950. The band is a non-profit organization chartered in 1956 to serve the Peninsula cities."
