Description
Join National Park staff and Green Mountain Club volunteers on a hike along the Appalachian Trail! All hikes begin at the Billings Farm & Museum parking lot. A shuttle will bring you and the group to the trailhead, and pick you up to bring you back at the end of the hike. Bring plenty of water, snacks, sunscreen, and hiking shoes.
Hike #1: Rt 12 to Stage Rd
Approximate duration including driving: 2.5 hours
Distance: ~2.1 miles
Elevation Change: 700’ up 700’ down
Trail Description: Trail begins on the eastern side of VT 12, with a steep initial climb up Dana Hill (elevation 1530). Trail ends at Stage Road. Steady climb to top of Dana Hill then steady descent down to Stage Road.
