The concert will start at 6pm and last one hour.
Description
Each Saturday evening in May from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, various groups will play period music on the front lawn of the Visitor Center. Free event, bring your lawn chair or blanket to sit, listen and enjoy the period music.
Join us May 25th to listen to The MO State University Community Band! The Missouri State Community Band is comprised of over 75 wind and percussion musicians from throughout the Southwest Missouri area. The band is truly Springfield’s community band—the members reflect a wide range of ages, vocations, and professions, having been drawn together by a common love for making music on their chosen instruments.
Each concert offers a wide variety of musical styles, from the classics to contemporary.
If severe weather is pending, check Facebook and the park website for cancellations. If cancelled, there will not be a make up date.
Remember this is an outdoor event so wear sunscreen and bug repellent for your safety. Dress for the weather.
