Meet at Robert Limbert Visitor Center

It was 100 years ago today, on May 2, 1924, that President Calvin Coolidge issued a proclamation establishing Craters of the Moon National Monument! Help us commemorate this momentous occasion, and officially kick off our Centennial celebrations by taking a one-mile round trip walk led by Ted Stout, who worked for 17 years as Chief of Interpretation and Education at Craters of the Moon. Ted will discuss the park’s fascinating history on this short walk from the current headquarters to the park's base of operations from 1927-1958.

Please check weather conditions and dress appropriately, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring water and food as needed.

Reservation or Registration: Yes

Walk limited to 25 participants - reservations required. Please call the Robert Limbert Visitor Center to reserve a spot, 208-527-1335.
