Description

Explore Florida Bay the best way: by kayak. This strenuous trip will meander the salty waters while a park ranger tells you about Flamingo's exciting history and wildlife. All paddling equipment, including a life jacket, is provided.

  • Must be 16+ years of age. Minors must have an adult in their kayak with them.
  • Prior paddling experience required. You must be able to independently swim and tread water.
  • Everyone must wear closed-toe shoes with good tread. Sandals are not allowed. Your shoes will get wet and/or muddy.
  • We require each visitor to carry a bottle of water for the trip.
  • Visitors must check-in with park rangers before 8:15 am. If any group member misses the safety briefing, they cannot join the trip.
  • You will be asked to help us lift and move kayaks.
  • Expect to travel up to 4 miles.
  • This strenuous trip may feature strong winds or currents.
  • Program could be canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
