Description

Join us for a 30-minute planetarium program exploring the celestial knowledge of the Ojibwe, Diné, and Hawaiian Wayfinding traditions. Discover how these Indigenous cultures connect with the stars to navigate the land and sea, tell stories, and preserve traditions that span generations. Highlights include: the Ojibwe star knowledge and seasonal constellations; the Diné (Navajo) cosmic worldview and their sacred constellations; and Hawaiian wayfinding and navigating the Pacific Ocean using the stars.

This is more than just stargazing – it's a journey through culture, history, and science, guided by the wisdom of Indigenous perspectives.

Recommended for ages 5 and up.
