Description
Celebrate art in Yosemite with a glimpse into how this amazing place has inspired artists in the past. Look for art-themed drop-in programs throughout the park and create your own Yosemite-inspired masterpiece with hands-on activities!

YOSEMITE VALLEY
Piece together your Yosemite Valley
Use Harry Fonseca's art as inspiration to tell your own story of Yosemite's plants, animals, and humans. Create a collage, using repurposed Yosemite materials.
When: Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30; 2 pm – 4 pm
Where: in front of the Exploration Center in Yosemite Village (use Yosemite Village parking or shuttle stops, 2, 4, & 5.)
TUOLUMNE GROVE
Collage at the Tuolumne Grove
Celebrate Jo Mora's eccentric art by creating your own Yosemite themed collage postcard. The park will mail your postcard to your chosen address!
When: Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30; 2 pm – 3 pm
Where: Tuolumne Grove Trailhead, near Crane Flat (about a 30-minute drive from Yosemite Valley.) From the Valley, take Big Oak Flat Road northwest to Crane Flat. Turn right onto Tioga Road and drive for about one mile to the Tuolumne Grove parking area and trailhead.
BIG OAK FLAT ROAD

Drop by and celebrate Yosemite's rich photographic history by developing your own cyanotype postcard from photographic negatives.
When: Wednesday, August 28 ONLY; 10 am – 12 pm
Where: Half Dome View, a turnout and overlook on Big Oak Flat Road (from Yosemite Valley, turn onto Big Oak Flat Road and drive about 3 miles. The parking area is on the left.)
TUOLUMNE MEADOWS
Paint a Postcard in the Meadows
Create your own watercolor postcard inspired by the works of Della Taylor Hoss. The park will mail your postcard to your chosen address!
When: Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30; 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Parsons Memorial Lodge in Tuolumne Meadows, about a 1.5-hour drive from Yosemite Valley. Park along Tioga Road at Lembert Dome, Parsons Lodge parking, or the visitor center. Parsons Lodge is near Soda Springs, about a .75-mile walk along a mostly-flat dirt and gravel trail.
WAWONA
Paint Yosemite's History
Create your own watercolor postcard inspired by the works of Kristian Jorgensen.
When: Monday, August 26 to Friday, August 30; 9 am to 5 pm
Where: Hill's Studio & Wawona Visitor Center (about a 1-hour drive south of Yosemite Valley, next to the Wawona Hotel.)
