Michael Virgintino explores Freedom Land, the short lived but memorable historical amusement theme park of the early 1960s that welcomed thousands of visitors on the land now home to Co-Op City, in the northern Bronx. He is the author of the recently published, “Freedom Land U.S.A.: The Definitive History.”
