Description

Help pick up trash on a trail!

Volunteers can pick up trash at a trailhead and along the trail. Along the way, keep an eye out for and let us know about any maintenance needs, such as damaged bridges and fallen trees across the trail. Return to the visitor center afterward to drop off your trash bag and supplies.

Before you hike, please meet at the Big Thicket Visitor Center at 6102 FM 420 in Kountze so we can sign you up. All supplies are provided, including trash grabbers, bags, and gloves.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, and to bring water, bug spray, and sunscreen.
